A large number of people don’t know about it, because length, thickness and collection of PV wires directly affect whether electricity generated by solar panels can reach the controller 100%. The voltage drop means the difference between solar panel terminal and controller terminal voltage. Charging is like running water, which flows from high to low , and there will be some loss in the process. This is a problem that we easily ignore, and also critical important. The choice of PV wire determines whether the loss is large or small. According to conservative calculation, 1MM wire can carry 6A current, so it is safe to calculate. If the selection of PV wire is too small, it will cause heat, increase loss and be more likely to catch fire, so we must pay attention to the selection of PV wire.
